Come for the deep stretch to hips, legs, lower back and stay for the blissful relaxation. Yin Yoga is a wonderful complement to a power yoga practice and accessible to all.
Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues of the body (the fascia, tendons and ligaments) from the waist to the knees. This meditative style of yoga moves energy and works the joints in a way other forms of yoga do not. In Yin yoga, we hold poses from 2-5 minutes at a time, allowing the poses to penetrate into the deep tissues. Bring a mat if you have one. You can also rent mats ($1 each). This will not be a heated class.
