Restorative Yoga is therapeutic in nature, using ample props to make it easier for the body to get into certain poses, and thus, surrender to the pose. Prop use provides a supportive environment ideal for total relaxation. The more support, the deeper your relaxation. Relaxation where there is no, or very little, movement, no effort, allows the brain to quiet down. Typically, Restorative poses are sustained for long hold or for as long as you are comfortable.
